Thomas Cochran
Chairman of the Board Mr. Cochran is a lifelong resident of Spokane, Washington. He has participated on many state and local bar committees including tenure as President of the Spokane County Bar Association. Mr. Cochran graduated in engineering from the University of Washington and graduated from Gonzaga University's School of Law. Mr. Cochran has been a member of Global Credit Union's Board of Directors since 1986. He currently serves as chairman of the Board and chairman of the Credit Union's Asset/Liability Committee.
Jack L. Fallis, Jr.
Treasurer Jack Fallis has been an employee of your Credit Union since November 1985. Jack assumed the responsibilities of President / Chief Executive Officer of Global Credit Union and Treasurer / Director of your board on January 1st, 2004. Jack has an MBA from the University of Washington and a BA in Finance from Eastern Washington University. He is a graduate and Certified Chief Executive from the Credit Union Executives Society CEO Institute. The CEO Institute is a consortium of the University of California at Berkeley, Cornell University, and the University of Virginia. Mr. Fallis is a graduate of Leadership Spokane, is a past-president of the EWU Alumni Association, and a current director for the EWU Foundation where he serves on the Finance Committee. Mr. Fallis supports and is active in many area charitable organizations. They include the Children's Miracle Network, Big Brothers and Sisters, YMCA, and the Spokane Chamber of Commerce. In 2003 Mr. Fallis was named an Honorary Commander assigned to the Wing Commander at Fairchild Air Force Base.
Joe M. Tortorelli
Vice Chairman Joe M. Tortorelli is founder and a principal in Economic Development Northwest, a business development consulting firm with clients throughout the Inland Northwest. He is currently chairman of the Armed Services Committee of the Spokane Regional Chamber of Commerce and co-chair of Forward Fairchild. He has more than 20 years' experience in business and economic development with Avista Corporation of Spokane creating programs designed to recruit new business to the region. He graduated in 1972 with a degree in business administration from Eastern Washington University and received further training and education from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). He received his certification as a Certified Economic Developer from the IEDC in 1992. He has served for more than 26 years with the Washington Air National Guard.
Robert J. LaPointe
Secretary Robert J. LaPointe was named Gonzaga's first Director of Development in July 1992. As the Assistant Vice President of University Relations, he oversees annual and planned giving, major gifts and law and athletic development. Mr. LaPointe came from UCLA, where he served as Director of Development for the School of Engineering and Applied Science. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, he has been involved in higher education development work for 25 years. Mr. LaPointe has served of Global's Supervisory Committee since 1994.
Thomas A. Pauley
Director Thomas Pauley is a veteran of 27 years with the United States Marine Corps and Air Force. He completed his military service as the 92nd Bomb Wing Senior Enlisted Advisor at Fairchild Air Force Base. Mr. Pauley served on Global Credit Union's Board of Directors from February 1990 to July 1992. He is currently the Traffic Manager of Zak Designs in Airway Heights. Mr. Pauley and his wife Sandy also serve as a billet family for the Spokane Chiefs.
Robert L. Crump
Director Bob Crump served as the General Manager of Kootenai Electric Cooperative. Prior to KEC Mr. Crump was the Hydro Licensing Manager for Grant County PUD. His 25 years' of experience in the power business includes employment with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District, Resource Management International, Inc., and Portland General Electric. Mr. Crump received his bachelors' degree in General Science from Linfield College in McMinnville, OR and masters in Systems Management from the University of Southern California. He is a member of the Coeur d'Alene Rotary Club, is active in his community and has previously been appointed to serve on several statewide committees relating to deregulation of the electric utility business.
Richard
Fischer
Director Richard
A. Fischer was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He earned an Associate of
Science degree in Nuclear Physics. Serving in the Air Force for twenty-six years
in all areas of munitions, he retired as a Chief Master Sergeant. His last assignment
was Maintenance Superintendent for the 92nd Maintenance Squadron, Fairchild AFB.
Since retiring he has worked as a Production Manager for Zak Designs and a Plant
Manager for Beck Cabinet Company. He is currently an auditor for McGriff Industries.
Mr. Fischer and his wife Susie have served as Co-Show chairs for Ferris High
School's fund raising group "Ham on Regal Players."
John E. Minnihan
Supervisory Committee Chairman
John Minnihan is a veteran of 30 years with the United States Air Force. He completed his military service as the 92nd Logistics Group Logistics Manager at Fairchild Air Force Base. John served on Global Credit Union's Board of Directors from January 1995 to August 1998 and on the Supervisory Committee since September 2001. Mr. Minnihan served as chapter President, Northwest Inland Empire of the American Production Inventory and Control Society (APICS) from July 2000 to June 2002 and is currently the chapter's Director of Marketing. He is currently the Continuous Improvement Manager for 21st Century Scientific in Coeur d'Alene Idaho.
Brian G. Gosline
Supervisory Committee Member Brian G. Gosline is an attorney in the law firm of Brian G. Gosline, P.C. in Spokane, Washington. His primary practice is in individual, corporate, partnership, and estate and gift taxation and planning as well as valuations. Mr. Gosline received his B.B.A. and J.D. degrees from Gonzaga University in Spokane. He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and Spokane County Bar Association. Mr. Gosline is a C.P.A. and is a Past President of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants where he currently serves as President of the Board of Trustees of the Washington CPA Foundation and has served on the Board of Directors and as Chair of numerous WSCPA Committees as well as co-founder of the WSCPA Leadership Academy. He recently completed his term as a member of Council of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the governing body of the 330,000 member AICPA. Mr. Gosline was the President of the Gonzaga University Alumni Board of Directors and a member of the Gonzaga University Board of Regents. He is currently Chair of the Supervisory Committee of Global Credit Union and has served as an officer and member of numerous other boards of non-profit and charitable organizations. He has spoken before various groups on corporate and individual tax matters as well as estate and gift taxation and has written numerous articles for national and local publications involving various issues of income, estate, and gift tax planning. He is an adjunct assistant professor of federal taxation and business law at Gonzaga University's Schools of Business and Law.
Robert E. Shull
Supervisory Committee Member Mr. Shull joined Global Credit Union in 1991. Mr. Shull is a lending professional, previously with ONB/US Bank as a vice president in lending with over 30 years’ experience in management, commercial/ installment lending, credit analysis, business development, and loan rehabilitation and recovery. Mr. Shull was the originating manager of ONB’s Dealer Service Center, building to $33 million and averaging 1.4 delinquency ratio in dollars, while managing a staff of 38 employees.Mr. Shull graduated from the US Bank Commercial Lending School, Portland, Oregon; the National Installment Lending School at the University of Colorado, graduating in the top five percentile of the class. Mr. Shull furthered his education by completing courses in business administration and economics at Eastern Washington University. Mr. Shull is also a certified consumer credit counselor.Mr. Shull was president of the Spokane Retail Credit Association and a member of the International Consumer Credit Association as the district legislative chairman for the following areas: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, including three provinces of Canada. Mr. Shull also held a position on the board of directors for the International Consumer Credit Association.
